This version of EcmSpy for Mono contains a database for tests only and can be used for testing the user interface only. This version will not allow to connect to any existing ECM, but will work offline (unconnected) only. There's also no way to load/save existing EEPROM copies, but instead some demo data are provided (load the file "dummy.epr" into the application) for test purposes only.
Aside the contraints above this software is the same as the full version. By installing the required databases for your bike it can be made fully functional.
You have to install the Mono runtime environment befor installing the EcmSpy for Mono Software. The Mono runtime is available from the Mono download area. Please follow the installation instruction provided with the download.
When installing the EcmSpy software after the Mono Runtime Environment all required adjustment will take place by the setup program, otherwise you will have to adjust the Windows environment manually by adding the Mono destination folder to the PATH variable. Download the EcmSpy for Mono installer and double click the setup file. The installer will guide you through the setup procedure. The application's user guide can be found in the menu at the top left of this page.
